Illustration Friday: Opposites

Yes, this is a dog and a goose sharing a quiet afternoon together. Don't judge them!

(Based on a true story, which I will tell as soon as I can find the photos to prove it!)

I love it, love it, love it! Hooray for the goose... but even more hooray for the dog! I love the straight lines and all the angles in the dog, and that's an excellent expression on his fat, happy face. You're quite the character designer, sir. Good stuff.

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone, and thanks for checking out my blog. Believe it or not, this is based on a true story, and my dad and sister are trying to find the photos so I can upload them here. At that time, I'll explain more, so be sure to check back!

Adrian your animal drawings are inspired-- heck, all of your work is amazing! That dogs face is too funny! Can't wait to find out what the story is behind the Dog & Goose illustration. Sounds potentially funny or quirky... which I love.

Thanks for the idea about putting a sketchbook of Alien drawings together. That'd be a quick $10.00! Yowza! Kidding! I'll see what I can do. Maybe someday it will happen, and I'll put you down for a dozen copies, right? Ha!

By way of update, I'd just like to let you all know that the search for pictures is still going... I'm sure it won't be long now until I can provide photographic proof of this love that breaks all boundaries.

Thanks for your great comments! I've been overwhelmed by the response!

Hey Adriaboon! I'm in agreement with my esteemed colleges. The work is top notch, my good man. For my part I dig the goose (my last name is Swann, it HAD to be so!).
I'd love to swap links with you. I have some family that checks out my blog, I'd love for them to check out yours. Peace, my good baboon!

I thought Bananas were the opposite of geese.

ah, whatever.

I love dogs that have silly expressions like that. They are the best, friendly dogs. It makes sense he'd have a goose friend.

I have seen this elusive picture and I can tell you the story is true! In fact I think we have a copy of the picture somewhere! I love the look on Bubba's face! He was before my time in the family, but I'm sure it's an exact likeness.
