Smurf Rejects?

I used to think Snorks were just Hanna Barbera's attempt to widen the Smurf franchise. Just recently, I found out that Snorks were actually a Belgian comic book before they became animated. Who knew?

Very nice, sir. You're a master with a pen... or a marker... crayons... whatever it was you used to create this. Fine work.

I remember the snork days...and thundar the barbarian...and laugh o lympics...and Honk Kong Fuey...and Godzilla with his equally poor sidekick Gadzookie...I thought they were ALL rejects of trying to make GOOD cartoons...but it was all that there was one since the Warner Brother's cartoons were only on for 30 minutes or so...

I loved that show... both of 'em, actually. The one with the nasally honking voice was the best... "Tooter," I think his name was. I work with a lady who has a voice that's eerily similar.

Wasn't the Smurfs also based on a Belgian comic book?
